Each day, your captain chooses among 12 exclusive moorings at 6 reef locations based on the water and weather conditions, making sure you get the best experience to be found. Seasoned dive masters are on hand to provide an in-depth briefing on your gear and what to expect at each site. Relax on board the vessel as you leave the Australian coast behind and get your gear ready for some quality time in the sea.

With outer reef locations chosen for their variety and the striking contours of the ocean floor, you're in for an outstanding experience when you plunge into the water. Once you've had a chance to mingle with the amazing sea life of beautiful corals and tropical fish, kick back on board the vessel to enjoy a barbecue lunch before you cruise back to shore.

Day 3 – Free Day

There is just so much to do in Cairns.

Take a trip to the Daintree Rainforest, Go Bungy jumping, Sky Diving, visit the Kuranda National Park by Scenic Train, Canyoning over the Tully or relax on Fitroy island.  The choice is endless.

Day 4 - White Water Rafting

Feel your adrenaline pumping to the max as you go rafting on the thrilling Tully River. Cut through a breathtaking World Heritage-listed rainforest, enjoy an exciting team adventure and uphold the highest safety standards to ensure an exhilarating experience.

The Tully River is Australia's premier whitewater rafting location, just a scenic drive away from Cairns or Mission Beach. Take in the beautiful surroundings before listening to the full safety briefing and getting fitted with all the necessary equipment.

Then hold on tight as you thunder down the rapids with your experienced guide. The next few hours are spent rafting along the raging river, taking in the picturesque rainforest surrounding you. In the top section of the river, hurtle down steep drops and burst through rapids with barely enough time to catch your breath. The rapids range up to Grade 4, plenty to keep your heart pumping and your knuckles white.

Halfway through the trip, stop for a delicious barbecue lunch on the banks of the river. When you've recharged your batteries, it's back into the white water for more action, including rapid swimming, raft surfing and rock jumping.

Day 7 - Fraser Island

You will be met at the bus terminal on arrival into Hervey Bay and transfer to Kingfisher Bay Resort Ferry terminal for a 9am departure.

The cruise to Fraser Island takes around 50 minutes across the Great Sandy Strait - so keep your eyes peeled for playful dolphins, turtles or the elusive dugong. Your Cool Dingo Ranger-Guide will meet you at the resorts' jetty and after your group introductions and a quick briefing, your 4WD adventure begins!

Your guide is a Fraser expert and is passionate about the island.  You'll be whisked off over sand tracks to explore some of the island's most beautiful, natural spots - but they'll also wow you with fascinating facts about the island's history, fauna and flora.

Keep an eye out for dingoes, plus we have more than 354 species of birds, and migrating humpback whales can often be seen off the eastern beach from July to November!

On a Cool Dingo tour, your guide stays with you for the entire trip - and they guarantee a fun and entertaining time... or the cool dingo eats his hat!

Today we check out some of Fraser Island's coolest inland sights.

Basin Lake - first stop is a walk to beautiful Basin Lake along sand tracks - get up close and personal with the resident freshwater turtles in this gorgeous little dune lake.

Central Station - no trains or whistles here - just peaceful, ancient rainforest and the reminders of a former, once bustling logging camp.

Wanggoolba Creek - walk along the banks of this silent flowing creek with lush green rainforest and rare king ferns... it's Mother Nature at her best!

Pile Valley - check out the towering, red satinay trees in this rich sub-tropical forest... real giants!

Lake McKenzie - with its white sandy beaches and crystal clear waters, picture perfect Lake McKenzie is even prettier than the postcards. Enjoy a refreshing afternoon swim before heading back to Kingfisher Bay.

Meal: picnic lunch and buffet dinner

Day 8 - Fraser Island

An early start to explore Seventy-Five Mile Beach, the world's most amazing beach highway. As this is our last day don't forget to leave your luggage at the Wilderness Lodge storage area for our porters.

Eli Creek - a great spot for a refreshing dip on a warm Queensland day! Float down this fast-flowing freshwater creek - which pours out 80 megalitres of water daily - to the seaside.

Maheno Shipwreck - washed ashore during a cyclone in 1935, this rusting wreck is one of Fraser's most iconic photo stops.

The Pinnacles Coloured Sands - With all the colours of the rainbow (well just the reds really) these vibrant sand cliffs are another favourite photo stop.

Indian Head - climb to the top of this rocky headland for awesome beach and ocean views... look out for sharks, rays and migrating humpback whales (Jul - Nov).

Champagne Pools - chill out in these bubbling ocean rock pools, you won't want to leave!

Air Fraser offers spectacular scenic flights over the island - book with your guide on tour (extra cost applies).

The tour returns to Kingfisher Bay Resort in the late afternoon. Wind down and enjoy a relaxed dinner before departing on the at 8.30pm ferry back to Hervey Bay, arriving at approximately 9.30pm... then we'll drop you straight to your Hervey Bay accommodation.
