THE ITINERARY

Begin with morning pick-up from your hotel and a relaxing bus ride to the banks of the mighty Tully River. The bottom of the Tully River Gorge offers spectacular views of towering rock walls and thick forest at every angle. Soak up the scenery while your expert guide gets you familiar with your equipment, explains safety procedures, and teaches you proper paddling techniques.

Fuel up with a delicious barbecue lunch on the riverbank before getting into the raft and pushing off into the river's steady current. Raft the lower section of the river, taking on rushing rapids and marvelling at the dense rainforest scenery that surrounds you. Listen as your guide points out the gorge's primitive plant life, and be sure to watch for the many animals that call this marvellous canyon home.

Bring the raft ashore at an open space along the riverbank and disembark. Change into dry clothes and make your way to Feluga Hotel, where you have the opportunity to purchase drinks and photos. Your experience ends with a hassle-free ride back to your hotel.
